Whitley, Sarah Ellen was born in 1884 in Handborough, Oxfordshire. Daughter of Frank Whitley. She married Albert James Hughes 11 December 1906 in Kensington, London. She appears on the 1901 census for Handborough, Oxfordshire; 1911 for Hampstead, London. As Sarah Ellen Hughes, she appears on the electoral rolls for 1925-1926.
