Wilcox, John was christened 18 November 1838 in Lower Swell, Gloucestershire. Son of William Wilcox and Elizabeth Norris. He married Elizabeth(ii) Gregory (maiden name of Elizabeth Reed) 19 January 1864 in Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire. He appears on the 1841, 1851 & 1861 censuses for Lower Swell, Gloucestershire; 1871, 1881 & 1891 for Adlestrop. He appears on the electoral rolls for 1889-1899. He was buried 29 June 1899 in Adlestrop.
