Serman, Albert was born 2 September 1891 in Adlestrop. Son of Arthur Frederick Serman and Mary Anne Mort. He married Emily Hoggett 19 May 1934 in Bingley, Yorkshire. He appears on the 1901 & 1911 census for Adlestrop. He appears on the electoral rolls for 1918-1920. He was a hair dresser, and later an antique dealer. He enlisted to fight in the Great War 3 August 1915 for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, and was transferred to Bombay, India 20 September 1919. He lived at Coachman's Cottage. He died in 1976 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Serman, Arthur Albert William was born in 1887 in Stourbridge, Worcestershire. Son of Arthur Frederick Serman and Mary Ann Mort. He appears on the 1891 & 1901 censuses for Adlestrop. He fought in the Great War with the 1st 4 Battalian of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He was killed in action 16 August 1917 in France and Flanders. He is commemorated on a marble plaque in St Mary Magdalene Church, Adlestrop and is buried in New Irish Farm Cemetery, Belgium.

He was discharged 29 April 1918 due to no longer being physically fit to serve. He was a farm labourer. At age 18, he was 5'3" and had a 30" chest. He died in 1965 in Oxford, Oxfordshire.
