Harington, Kenneth Douglas Evelyn Herbert was born 30 September 1911 in Kensington, London. Son of Edward Harington and Louisa Muriel Vernon. He married (1) Lady Cecilia Bowes-Lyon daughter of the 15th Earl of Strathmore &
Kinghorne, of Glamis Castle, Forfar, and a niece of HM Queen Elizabeth
The Queen Mother; (2) Maureen Helen McCalmont in 1950 in Surrey. He served in the Second World War: Served in NW Europe as Major, Coldstream Guards; Hon Attaché, British Legation, Stockholm, 1930-32; Called to the Bar at the Inner Temple, 1952; Acting Deputy Chairman, Inner London and NE London Quarter Sessions, 1966-67. He was a Metropolitan Magistrate 1967-84. He died 13 January 2007 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. He was buried 16 January 2007 in Adlestrop. See Photographs.
