Dryden

Dryden, Alfred Erasmus was born 14 October 1821 in Adlestrop. Son of Reverend Henry Dryden and Elizabeth Hutchinson. He married Frances Isabella Curwen 16 May 1849 in Saint Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, Scotland. He appears on the 1841 census for Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxfordshire; 1851, 1871, 1881, 1891 & 1901 for Putney, Surrey; 1911 for Canons Ashby and Woodford cum Membris, Northamptonshire. He was a barrister. On 24 July 1899, he succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Turner, of Ambrosden, Oxfordshire and 5th Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, Northamptonshire. He died 2 April 1912 in Daventry, Northamptonshire. See Photographs.

Dryden, Elizabeth Matilda was born in 1821 in Adlestrop. Daughter of Reverend Henry Dryden and Elizabeth Hutchinson. She married Baron Freidrich William Amelius Perger Von Perglas 31 March 1859. She appears on the 1841 census for Canons Ashby, Northamptonshire; 1851 for Northampton All Saints, Northamptonshire; 1871, 1881 & 1901 for Sydenham, Lewisham, Kent. She died 16 August 1909.

Dryden, Reverend Sir Henry was born 7 July 1787. Son of Sir John Dryden and Elizabeth. He married Elizabeth Hutchinson 31 July 1817. He graduated from Oxford University, Oxfordshire with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, Northampton on 29 September 1818. He was the Vicar at Adlestrop (1813-1823) and also at Ambrosden, Oxfordshire and Leek Wootton, Warwickshire. He died 17 November 1837.

Dryden, Henry Edward Leigh was born in 1818 in Adlestrop. Son of Reverend Henry Dryden and Elizabeth Hutchinson. He was educated at Shrewsbury School. He married Frances Tredcroft 24 January 1865 in Brackley, Northamptonshire. He appears on the 1871, 1881 & 1891 censuses for Canons Ashby, Northamptonshire. He was an archaeologist and antiquary. He was 4th Baronet Dryden of Canons Ashby, Northamptonshire and 7th Baronet Turner of Ambrosden, Oxfordshire. He died in 1899 in Daventry, Northamptonshire. See Photographs.
